Immaculée Ilibagiza's story is one of unimaginable horror and unimaginable hope. In 1994, she was a young Tutsi woman living in Rwanda. When the genocide broke out, she was forced to flee her home along with her family. They were hunted by Interahamwe militiamen, and Immaculée's parents and brothers were brutally murdered. She managed to escape and hide in a bathroom with seven other women for 91 days.

During that time, she faced starvation, dehydration, and the constant threat of discovery. But she also found strength and hope in her faith and in the love of the women she was hiding with. When she finally emerged from her hiding place, she was a changed woman. She had lost everything, but she had also found a new purpose in life: to share her story and to promote peace and reconciliation in Rwanda.

"Rising from the Ashes of Genocide" is a powerful and moving account of one woman's journey through the darkest of times. It is a story of survival, resilience, and the power of love to overcome even the most unimaginable horrors.
