About the Author
Niki Nakayama was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She graduated from the California Culinary Academy and went on to work in some of the world's top restaurants, including The French Laundry, Alinea, and wd~50. In 2011, she opened her own restaurant, n/naka, in Los Angeles. n/naka has won numerous awards, including two Michelin stars and a James Beard Award for Best Chef: West. Chef Nakayama is known for her innovative and refined cuisine that combines Japanese and Californian flavors. She is also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in the culinary industry.
