This is a true story of two teenagers and the crime that changed their lives. It is a story of friendship, betrayal, and the power of forgiveness.
The two teenagers, John and Mary, were best friends. They had known each other since kindergarten and had always been there for each other. They were both good kids, with good grades and no history of trouble.
One night, John and Mary were hanging out at John's house. They were bored, so they decided to go for a walk. They walked for a while, and then they came to a park. They sat down on a bench and started talking.
After a while, a group of older boys came up to them. The boys were drunk and they started to harass John and Mary. They called them names and threatened them. John and Mary were scared, but they didn't know what to do.
One of the boys took out a knife. He held it to John's throat and said, "Give us your money." John didn't have any money, so he said, "I don't have any money."
The boy with the knife got angry. He stabbed John in the chest. John fell to the ground, and Mary screamed.
The boys ran away, and Mary was left alone with her dying friend. She held him in her arms and told him that she loved him. John died in her arms.
Mary was devastated. She couldn't believe that her best friend was gone. She called the police and told them what had happened.
The police arrested the boys who had killed John. They were all convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
Mary was never the same after John's death. She had nightmares about that night, and she couldn't sleep. She dropped out of school and started drinking. She eventually lost her job and became homeless.
One day, Mary was walking down the street when she saw a church. She went inside and sat down in the back. She started to cry, and she told the priest what had happened to her.
The priest listened to Mary's story, and he offered her comfort. He told her that she was not alone and that God loved her.
Mary started going to church regularly. She found solace in the community of believers, and she began to heal. She went back to school and got her GED. She got a job and started her own family.
Mary never forgot John, but she found a way to forgive his killers. She knew that they were just kids who had made a terrible mistake. She prayed for them, and she hoped that they would find peace in their hearts.
Mary's story is a powerful reminder of the power of forgiveness. It
